eSIM for MNO and MVNO

eSIM has been gaining significant momentum since its introduction in 2017. Despite the reluctance of some MNO’s to introduce and support this new technology, the pace at which eSIM is being utilized is forcing operators to offer this product to the wider market. In 2017 the only device supporting eSIM was the Pixel2 smart phone. Now even entry level devices have eSIM, some Samsung models ONLY support eSIM. Whilst there is still some consumer confusion as to what eSIM is all about, at the current adoption rate, we believe that 2022 will be the year that MNOs, MVNOs and IoT must offer this technology or lose market share.
